UK's Friday practice in Reliant Stadium
It is always one of the highlights of my year to go to the Final Four with my dad. We have been going together since 1987 – when Indiana beat Syracuse in New Orleans. The NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Convention is always held in conjuntion to the games. It is alot of fun to spend the weekend with dad and see many of our coaching friends and colleagues. Reliant Stadium is massive, but just about every seat had a view of the floor – unlike some of the stadiums that the NCAA is now using. On Friday, all 4 teams hold a 50 minute practice in the stadium. This year, there were alot of UK fans – with the Cats making their first trip back to the Final Four since 1998. If you have never been to the Final Four – and have a chance to go – especially with your family – it is an incredible weekend.
